Mini-conference: Making social urban fabric

Everyone is a designer!

Part of: Sustainist Design Toolkit

You’re invited to explore what sustainist design can do for social & sustainable cities. Discover how sustainist design can support the growing movement of ‘city makers’ ? Our co-design approach allows for participants from various backgrounds to join.

Cities are in transition: the way we look at our living environment, how we connect to the city and its communities, as well as the forms that shape it, are changing. This cultural shift and its complexity require a collaborative effort from citizens, policy-makers and institutions to make our cities more social & sustainable. Therefore we need to redefine our relationships, creating strong social fabrics.

Together with inspiring speakers from our network, The Beach and ciA. will share their insights and practice-based knowhow. In concise workshops they take you through their design approach and methods.

With: Lisa Hu (Terra Nova), Madelinde Hageman (Herrekijken, Taal voor Eenzaamheid), Thami Schweichler (Makers Unite), Mariët ten Berge (Stichting Westelijke Tuinsteden), Dorèndel Overmars (Geluksdisco, Westside Slotermeer), Michiel Schwarz (Sustainism Lab), Richard Gerritsen (Creative Interventions Amsterdam), Diana Krabbendam (The Beach).
