MAP uses the city as inspiration ánd as their platform to work together with the neighbourhood. The projects that they realise try to move- literally and figuratively- people to create a difference. They translate current themes and social issues in an artistic format and show this, when possible, in public spaces. Examples of different projects are large theaterproductions at a city square and developping a new ritual with and in a neighborhood. They celebrate the diversity of the city and form a innovative, inclusivecontribution to the artistic programme of Amsterdam. MAP operates from the belief that for a neighborhood to live together in a good way, everybody deserves to get the same opportunities. By developing projects they want to give a platform to all the voices, especially the ones that are rarely heard off. They initiate projects by themselves but also work on behalf of the municipaliy of Amsterdam, companies and society organizations. They also co-create with locals, local middle class, local political organizations and educational and scientific institutions.
