We offer an inspiring place for students in our design practice in Amsterdam New-West. Learn more about some of our current projects:

Makers Unite
Makers Unite connects people to co-create inclusive and shared communities. With locals and refugees/newcomers we design meaningful sustainable products re-using life vests collected on Greek shores. This year we won the Refugee Challenge of What Design Can Do.

Mooi Wildeman
During the project Mooi Wildeman we work in design projects with local residents, organizations, companies and students, to improve the Wildeman district.

Makers Lab
Makers Lab is an open workplace where media, craft and food comes together. Here, designers, artists, organizations and residents work together to design new products and processes. Makers Lab offers workshops in the field of media, film, food, 3-D printing and much more.

Gangmakers
In design workshops with children, we develop a Mobile Children's Museum, a healthy snackbar and we work towards a movie.

Nieuw-West Express
Nieuw-West Express is an online and offline program in Amsterdam New-West to connect the city, country and culture with each other.
We organise events like Tuinen van West Fest, Tour de Boer, expositions where we connect artists with residents.

Sustainist Design
We connect social ambitions and knowledge with questions from the Wildeman district and beyond. We offer students space for research and to participate in projects. For this year we will work on the Sustainist Design Toolkit.
